French Navy – Bowery Top

Sewing pattern Bowery : The Bowery Top is a versatile wardrobe staple that offers a polished look with the comfort and ease of a t-shirt. The simple, modern design is elevated by details such as back button closure, cuffed dolman sleeves and a curved hemline. This pattern makes for a fun beginner project, as well as a perfect canvas for beautiful fabric, interesting buttons, and color-blocking opportunities! Specifically designed to be worn with your favourite highwaisted pants or shorts, The Bowery Top is cropped to sit at around 2” below the waist, but can easily be lengthened should “cropped” not be your style.

PDF sewing pattern: it includes a detailed instructions booklet, at-home printing pattern (A4 – Letter) and a copyshop pattern (A0). All of this in English.

Level : Easy

Sizes : A - G (refer to the sizes chart with the pictures attached)

Notions : Fabric Width 60" Sizes A-D - 1.1 yards Sized E-G - 1.3 yards 5x 1cm (3/8”) buttons. 50cm (19”) Lightweight fusible interfacing. Note: If you are using very lightweight fabric then you may wish to interface your cuffs, in which case an additional 55cm/ 22” of interfacing will be required.

Fabric suggestion : The Bowery Top is best suited to light to medium weight woven fabrics with or without drape. Linen, chambray, cotton shirting and the like will produce a more structured garment, while drapier fabrics like viscose/rayon blends will also work well but make for a softer silhouette.
