Are you willing to dess as a hand-worker or Mario Bros?
… the answer is YES for us!! 😉
You guesst it, in this article workwear is not the outfit to go to the office but more to the workshop. Timeless clothes, with simple and comfortable cuts that are built to resist over time and usage, and with many pockets to carry on your tools, phone, earplugs, etc… This is why we love this trend.
This trend is popping up more and more in Fashion so no surprise you can find it as well in designers sewing patterns world…
Are you in for it? So just have a look to this sewing patterns “workwear” selection, pick carefully your fabric (denim, thick cotton or thick linen, gabardin, corduroy) and your accessories (they must be adapted to your project and be qualitative enough to last long!) and there you go 🙂
The ultimate workwear : jumpsuit, dungarees, trousers
For a full Mario-like look, go for jumpsuit or dungarees but watch out, not any of them. You need patched pockets and straight cuts. When it comes to trousers, we suggest Robinson as this pattern provides many options that are very workwear comptatible.
A workwear basic: the denim jacket
For a basic cut go for Nicolleta, for a crop cut go for Maisa. But be aware that sewing a denim jacket is not the easiest project, you need an expert level there.
Some other workwear jackets…
Those jackets have straight cuts, crop for Nenuphar, longer for Julien and Narcisse, but more importantly they have many pockets!!
Workwear shirts or over-layer
Depending on the choice of fabric you can achieve different styles and usages.
Off to work guys!
